Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago

So I went to Mass at Holy name cathedral in Chicago.  It is big but I guess I have seen much more beautiful Cathedrals in the United States and other countries. There are some very nice features however.  The ceiling is fabulous.  I was born and raised in Chicago so of course I love it there.  All this Church needs is a great designer to make it magnificent.

On the outside it could use a little spruce up cleaning but it truly amazes me that as big as it is, it looks tiny compared to the building around it.

Peoria Sculpture Walk

The city of Peoria now has a sculpture walk downtown by the riverfront.  Here are some pictures of some of the sculptures along the way.

Christmas Decorations

I love Christmas! Mostly because it gave us Jesus Christ, faith, and hope but it also brings people together.  How wonderful to visit our families and to see people celebrate such a Holy and wonderful day all around the world.  Also there are the decorations.

Sophia's Kitchen

Went to Sophia's Kitchen today to take pictures of the people who volunteer.  Sophia's kitchen feed between 500-700 people a day.  Helping the poor with no questions asked.  Great ministry!
